Felicity Jones to play Ruth Bader Ginsburg in biopic

Actress Felicity Jones has been roped in to star in the role of Supreme Court Justice of Ruth Bader Ginsburg in biopic "On the Basis of Sex".
Mimi Leder is directing the Focus Features project, which is to chronicle the early years of Ginsburg's lifelong fight for equality and her path to becoming the second woman appointed to the Supreme Court.
Daniel Stiepleman wrote the script, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Jones replaces Natalie Portman, who had been attached to play Ginsburg since 2015.
Ginsburg was appointed to the Supreme Court in 1993 by President Clinton and became the second female justice after Sandra Day O' Connor.

Ginsburg is 84 and remains an associate justice who is part of the court's liberal wing. She is one of the three female justices on the current court along with Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.
