Fishermen and locals taught about coastal security

The role and responsibilities of public, fishing community was discussed during a "Mass Awareness Drive" organised by Coast Guard and local administration, a press release from Coast Guard said.

They were briefed about the method of reporting suspicious activity to the police and Coast Guard, it said.

A total of 150 fishermen and 60 officials of local administration took part in the awareness drive.
