Five arrested for supplying illegal arms

With the arrest of five persons, including a former village head, police today claimed to have busted a gang supplying illegal arms.
Arms including seven pistols, one gun and 19 half-made guns have been seized from their possession, police said.
During a routine check for elections, Police intercepted three persons near Mansoorpur and seized the arms from them.
Later, they raided a house and unearthed an arms manufacturing unit and arrested two others.
The arrested accused have been identified as former head of village Nagla Rajesh Kumar, Suraj, Phulkumar, Nadeem and Mohsin, they said.
