The double-lane flyover built at a cost of nearly Rs 37 crore is aimed at easing traffic flow at the busy junction.
Patnaik had laid the foundation stone of the flyover in November 2008.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of a bridge over Mahanadi river to connect Badamba with Baideswar at Banki in the Gopinathpur area of Cuttack district. The estimated cost of the bridge was pegged at Rs 180 crore.
