Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Santosh Chowdhary today laid the foundation stone of the Vidyalaya, built on 10.218 acres of land provided by the panchayat of Gajja.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya will primarily cater the need of wards of Central government employees and general public in the area and likely be functional within two years.
Chowdhary said the Centre provided Rs 32.93 crore for the Vidyalaya, adding that, while general students would be charged tuition fee of Rs 200 to 500 per month, girls, SC/ST students and wards of KV employees and below poverty-line candidates would be exempted from the same.
