Four of family booked for dowry death in Haryana

A woman was allegedly killed by her husband and in-laws for dowry following which a case has been registered against four persons, police said today.
In a complaint to the police, Vijaypal Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh , alleged that his daughter was allegedly murdered yesterday by her husband and in-laws for dowry, police said.
The woman had married one Saurabh five years ago. After the birth of their daughter, the in-laws started harassing her and demanded Rs 5 lakh in cash and a car, they said.
She discolsed about the ordeal to her father but he did not take any action in the matter, they said.
Her husband, brother-in-law Sonu, mother-in-law Sharda and father-in-law Veer Singh have been booked under relevant sections of the IPC, police said.
An investigation is underway in the case, they added.
