Freight rates decline on limited cargo movement

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section declined by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market today following restricted cargo movements against heavy position of trucks.
Transporters said tight cargo movements against easy availability of trucks in the markets, mainly pulled down some of centres freight rates.
Delhi to Bangluru, Chennai and Vijaywada rates moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 60,000, Rs.63,000 and Rs.55,000.
Rates to Pondicherry, Kochi, Mysore and Guwahati also went down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 66,000, Rs.73,000, Rs 65,000 and Rs 53,000.
