Siddaiah, recently shunted out from the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike after he unearthed the multi-crore fake bills scam, has assumed charge of the civic body, BBMP sources said.
According to the sources, the reinstatement of Siddaiah as BBMP Commissioner comes in the wake of the "inability" of the present dispensation to handle the garbage disposal problem, over which the Karnataka High Court has rapped the state government and the civic body.
