Girl forced into prostitution by aunt, raped by several

A girl was allegedly raped by several people after she was 'forced' into prostitution by her aunt and another person, following which both were arrested today, police said.
The incident surfaced after the girl's father lodged a complaint with Women Police Station in Sector 5 of Bidhannagar Commissionerate that her daughter was kidnapped and gangraped by unknown persons last week, a top police officer told PTI.
After taking a note of the girl's version, police arrested her aunt, who on the pretext of helping her in finding job, introduced her to the accused person, the officer said.
The person allegedly took the victim to the red light area in Sonagachi where she was raped by around 12 persons, the officer said.

"After interrogating the women and the man, we have found that the two had chalked out a plan to earn money using the girl in the flesh trade. We are still questioning them to find out if anybody else is involved in it or not," he said, adding the girl has been sent for medical examination.
