Delhi Police today rescued a minor girl, who had been trafficked, from a house in Anand Vihar here.
Police said that the girl, a resident of West Bengal, had been lured to New Delhi with promises of marriage and job by one Rashid.
"Rashid brought her to his uncle, who was an agent of a placement agency. Both of them accompanied the girl to Delhi," police said, adding that the girl has alleged of being raped.
Police said they had received a complaint from the girl's father who had said that the girl had been missing since January this year.
"He further added that he received a call from her daughter on September 5 from a landline number from Delhi. She told him that she was confined in a house and facing atrocities," a police officer said.
Following the complaint, Rashid's uncle Jahangir, the owner of placement agency, and her employer were arrested today. A case of kidnapping, trafficking and rape has been registered.
