The in-charge collector of the district Kartikeya Goel told Bhasha/PTI that Neeta Nag, who is superintendent of the hostel located at Dhanora village has been detained, while the main accused, who is her husband Vinod Nag, was absconding.
"Two girl students of eighth standard had accused Vinod Nag of molestation and according to their complaint, the superintendent did not take any action after they informed her about the matter and also allegedly tried to hush up the matter. Neeta Nag is being questioned by the police," the collector said.
The police said that Kista allegedly induced the girl to have a relationship with him, by promising to "marry" her.
After she got pregnant, he allegedly warned her not to disclose anything to anybody, the police said.
Meanwhile, the main opposition Congress has announced that it would appoint committees to examine both these cases.
