Girls outshine boys in Himachal matric exams

Girls outshone boys in the class X examinations conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Education Board, the results of which were declared today.
"More than 1,45,000 students took the examination in March and the total pass percentage was 61.16 per cent," secretary of the board Rakhil Kalhon told reporters here.
The girl students put up a strong performance in the examination with 22 of them figuring in the final merit list.
Vashnavi Thakur of Aryan school, Jhiriwala stood first by scoring 681 marks out of 700, Kalhon added.
