Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar told the state Assembly that action is being taken against the officer for submitting a "manipulative" reply, which was read out by him during the proceedings.

The officer, whose name was not disclosed, had submitted the reply on the issue raised by BJP legislator Subhash Phaldesai about the pathetic condition of a state-run guest house at Altinho in Panaji.

The MLA narrated the sorry state of affairs at the guest house which he visited last night after attending the session.

The issue was raised today during the zero hour.

Parrikar read out the reply given by the officer.

However, after reading out the reply, the chief minister said that the officer has submitted a "false" answer.

"I myself have witnessed the pathetic condition of the guest house. This reply is manipulative and I have decided to initiate action against the officer concerned who has submitted it," Parrikar said, adding that the problems at the guest house will be rectified by Sunday.
