Goa Police will join hands with the police department of other states in investigation of the hacking case of official website of state Raj Bhawan, a police official said.
Goa police had received a complaint on October 24 that the official website of Raj Bhawan was hacked by an unidentified person.
Cyber Crime cell, which began probe into the case found that on the same day several other government websites in different states were also hacked simultaneously.
"The only website that was hacked in Goa was of Raj Bhawan. Several other government websites in different states were also hacked. We have not yet shared information with police of other states but will be doing it soon," investigating officer inspector Rajesh Job said today.
A complaint has been registered against 'unidentified person' in this regard, he said.
The website of Raj Bhawan is yet to be restored.
"Police have told us that the website is blocked. We have filed the complaint and waiting for results of the investigation," Secretary to Governor, Dr N Radhakrishan said.

Several state government websites including the one of Department of Information and Publicity, have been hacked in the past as well.
