Godrej Interio targets Rs 2,000-cr sales turnover

Godrej Interio (GI), India's premium furniture brand in both home and institutional segments, was targetting a 25 per cent growth in its business this year to clock about Rs 2,000 crore, a top official today said.
Last year, the company's sales turnover had touched Rs 1,600 crore.
Kerala contributes 10 per cent of the business, Anil Mathur, Chief Operating Officer, Godrej Interio, told reporters here.
As part of the 'Onam' festival, Godrej Interio has offered 20 per cent discount and gold coins of 4 gram on each purchase above Rs 2 lakh. The offer can be availed from 55 showrooms and six kitchen galleries in Kerala.
Godrej Interior also launched new kitchen premium range Cuisine Regale in Kerala.
GI had recently acquired a foam plant expanding it to make foam mattresses and sofa sets. 'Creations' launched last year was receiving good response, he said, adding, the products range from Rs 10,000 upwards.
The size of the furniture market was Rs 40,000 crore, both organised and unorganised. The organised market was growing at the rate of 15-20 per cent.
In the Kerala market, the company was hoping to do over Rs 100 crore, this year.
Its Upload and Transform campaign was getting popular. It gives every consumer a chance to get their homes transformed for free, he said, adding, last season saw 50 lucky winners, including Malayalam film Music director Alphonse Jospeh, across the country whose homes were transformed by GI.
