In Jajampatti village, bandits looted Rs 90,000, two gold chains and cell-phones at gunpoint from six pilgrims coming from Kota in Rajasthan, DSP (Goverdhan) Ajai Kumar said.
The incident took place near the Gopalpur curve under Magorra police station last night, police said, adding a FIR was lodged by one Krishna Mohan Bansal.
"The bandits, who were in a car, stopped the victims' vehicle near the curve by overtaking it. They were on their way to attend a discourse on Bhagwatam in Vrindavan," he said.
The incident took place near Anandvan Colony when the teachers were going to school on a scooty. The victims have lodged a case at the Highway police station, they said.
