In the first case the customs officials apprehended three persons -- Firoj Iraqi, Abrar Naik and Mohammed Ibrahim -- who were leaving for Dubai.
They were found to be carrying 245 notes of Rs 2,000 worth Rs 4.9 lakh.
In another case Soraab Ali who had arrived from Riyadh was found carrying six gold bars of 10 tola each, weighing 696 grams in total and valued at about Rs 17.77 lakh.
Ali had concealed the gold inside the battery of a rechargeable LED torchlight.
Patel claimed that phones belonged to one Ayyub Patel who was to pay him Rs 65,000 for bringing them. Further probe was on.
