"The government is seriously planning on a scheme in which seawater will be made drinkable to meet the demand of drinking water in the state," she said addressing a gathering at Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari's programme in Salasar town.
"This is a visionary project and we are seriously working on it," Raje said.
The Chief Minister did not divulge further details on the project.
She also said the government is making efforts to improve the groundwater table in Rajasthan under the Mukhyamantri Jal Swavalamban Abhiyan.
The NHAI will now construct the ambitious ring road in Jaipur. The project will be taken up by the NHAI in next three months and will be completed within 15 months, the Union Minister said.
