The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 310.83 crore in the year-ago period, Great Eastern Shipping Company said in a filing to the BSE.
The income from operations during the April-June quarter dropped to Rs 807.78 crore as against Rs 959 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Its consolidated revenue from the shipping segment declined to Rs 497.31 crore, over Rs 513.63 crore in the year ago period.
