Anil Kumar, a resident of Shahdara village, works as a security guard at a construction site in Sector-137 here.
Last evening, when he was returning home near Paras Tera Society, the accused who were in car, stopped to ask Kumar for directions to Kulshera village, police said.
When Kumar said he didn't know the way, they dragged him inside the car and assaulted him.
Locals gathered after listening to his cries for help and rushed him to a hospital.
Police has lodged an FIR and a manhunt is on to trace the absconding accused.
