Gur falls on sluggish demand, adequate supply

Gur Prices fell up to Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale jaggery market today owing to slackened against adequate supplies from producing areas.
Marketmen said sluggish demand retailers as well as stockists demand against adequate supplies from producing areas mainly led to decline in gur prices.
At Delhi, gur chakku and pedi fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 2,600-2,700 and Rs 2,700-2,800 per quintal, respectively.
At Muzzaarnagar, gur khurpa and ladoo also declined by Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 2,400-2,450 and Rs 2,550-2,650 per quintal, respectively.
The following are today's quotations per quintal:
Gur chakku 2,600-2,700, pedi 2,700-2,800, dhayya 2,900-3,000 and shakkar 3,100-3,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,250-2,300, chakku 2,300-2,650 khurpa 2,400-2,450 and Ladoo 2,550-2,650.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,400-2,450 and dhayya 2,500-2,550.
