After yesterday's sharp rise, gur prices remained flat at previous levels in the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market today as demand declined at higher levels amid increased supplies.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also showed a steady trend on scattered deals.
Marketmen said fall in demand at higher levels and higher supplies mainly kept gur prices at last levels.
Following are today's rates per quintal:
Gur chakku 3,100-3,200, pedi 3,150-3,250, dhayya 3,300-3,400 and shakkar 3,400-3,500.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,550-2,600, chakku 2,750-3,100, khurpa 2,800-2,850 and Ladoo 2,950-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,800-2,850 and dhayya 2,950-3,000.
