Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today asked the district heads to work together and give greater momentum to all new schemes launched by the state government in a bid to provide succor to the people and boost the economic growth of the state.
The Chief Minister, who was addressing the DCs and SPs through video conference here today, reviewed the progress of Women Police Stations, flood control arrangements, bio-metric attendance system, redressal of grievances registered at CM window, prevention of corruption and law and order situation.
He also directed officers to maintain cordial relations with elected public representatives. "Officers concerned should ensure participation of public representatives including that of opposition in Bijli Panchayats which would be organized every month in all villages under 'Mhara Gaon- Jagmag Gaon' scheme," he said.
He asked them to urge everyone to step forward to make this scheme a great success. Just after the launch yesterday, he had also received applications from eight other villages of Kurukshetra district to replicate the same model in their villages for getting 24 hours power supply.
Under the scheme, villages paying bills on time have been assured 24-hour power supply.
While reviewing the law and order situation, the Chief Minister expressed satisfaction at nabbing 134 dreaded criminal gangs and the consequent solving of 684 cases and recovery of property worth Rs 6.28 Crore.
The CM said that at least 50 per cent of police staff should be deployed in police stations, an official spokesman said later.
He asked the DCs to speed up the distribution process of pending compensation lying with them and complete it in next 15 days.
He asked them to ensure that all district heads of all Haryana government offices remain present in their offices between 11 AM and 12 noon for redressal of grievances of local people. Availability of drinking water and seating arrangements for the public during these hours should also be ensured, he said.
