The Chief Minister, who was addressing the DCs and SPs through video conference here today, reviewed the progress of Women Police Stations, flood control arrangements, bio-metric attendance system, redressal of grievances registered at CM window, prevention of corruption and law and order situation.
He also directed officers to maintain cordial relations with elected public representatives. "Officers concerned should ensure participation of public representatives including that of opposition in Bijli Panchayats which would be organized every month in all villages under 'Mhara Gaon- Jagmag Gaon' scheme," he said.
Under the scheme, villages paying bills on time have been assured 24-hour power supply.
While reviewing the law and order situation, the Chief Minister expressed satisfaction at nabbing 134 dreaded criminal gangs and the consequent solving of 684 cases and recovery of property worth Rs 6.28 Crore.
The CM said that at least 50 per cent of police staff should be deployed in police stations, an official spokesman said later.
He asked them to ensure that all district heads of all Haryana government offices remain present in their offices between 11 AM and 12 noon for redressal of grievances of local people. Availability of drinking water and seating arrangements for the public during these hours should also be ensured, he said.
