"The maximum limit for getting seeds has been fixed at four acres per farmer. The farmers who desire to avail the benefit of the scheme, could contact Agriculture Development Officer of the area or the concerned officers to get their names registered by June 15. This would help in ensuring availability of seeds on time," a spokesman of the State's Agriculture Department said here today.
The programme is aimed to promote cultivation of hybrid maize by reducing area under water-guzzling paddy.
