State Urban Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain said provisions for regularisation would not be applicable on nursing homes that have been operating before the constitution of municipalities under the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994, and the Haryana Municipal Act, 1973.
The owner of such nursing homes would also have to seek permission before changing or adding to the existing construction, she said.
Operational nursing homes that do not fulfil the policy's parameters will be allowed to continue at the present site for 10 years on the condition that they would bring it in conformity with the policy, she said.
The policy would be applicable on nursing homes running from the residential premises located within municipal limits, she said.
The area under the jurisdiction of other authorities like Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), Housing Board and licenced colonies would not be covered under this policy, Jain said.
The Minister said the area of the plot size should not be less than 350 square yard for the hyper or high potential zone and 250 square yard for the medium and low potential zones.
The charges for premises falling in municipalities in the hyper potential zone would be Rs 6,000, Rs 4,000 per square yard for high potential zone, Rs 2,000 per square yard for medium potential zone and Rs 1,000 per square yard for low potential zone, Jain said.
She said in case doctor is a tenant, one year's annual conversion charges would have to be paid in advance before the start of the new financial, failing which, the permission would lapse automatically.
