The six sportspersons included Jitender Kumar (Boxing), Nirmala Devi (Wrestling), Om Parkash (Shot-put), Dhruv Gautam and Yashdeep Kaur (Roller Skating-Hockey) and Paralympics player, Rajesh Kumar (Athletics).
Each sportsperson received Rs two lakh in cash, an idol of Bhim, a letter of appreciation, blazer and a tie/scarf from the Haryana Governor Jagan Nath Pahadia.
Bhim Award is conferred every year upon six outstanding players of the state, including a Paralympics player, for bringing laurels to the country by winning medals at national and international competitions.
Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda was among those present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that it was a matter of pride that 137 players from the state have so far been honoured with the Bhim Awards.
