Heavy smog and shallow fog caused a hazy morning in the national capital with minimum temperature settling at 16 degrees Celsius which was three notches above normal for this part of the season.
With winds remaining calm, smog intensified in the city in the morning causing a drop in the visibility.
However, things are expected to improve as the day progresses as the MeT department has predicted a mainly clear sky. The day temperature may settle around 32 degrees Celsius.
The humidity level was recorded at 87 per cent at 8:30 in the morning.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 31.7 degrees Celsius, while the minimum had settled at 16.6 C degrees.
