Justice S.Nagamuthu of the Madurai Bench, hearing a petition filed by a city advocate K.Sriguru, gave the direction to CBI and posted the case for hearing on April 29.
The petitioner submitted that the 14 'LLB degree' students illegally obtained admissions in law colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. He alleged that without obtaining sufficient attendance and by bribing college authorities, they were writing the examination using proxies.
The petitioner sought a CBI probe and said the court should direct the investigating agency to produce the attendance register besides CCTV footage of colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka to find if those enrolled were attending classes and writing examinations themselves.
