The Goa bench gave interim bail to Cardozo, who was lodged in Aguada jail, since his arrest in February, after the state government invoked the stringent NSA.
Cardozo's lawyer Amit Palekar said he was released on a bail amount of Rs 25,000 and two sureties.
The Goa North district police had recommended Cardozo's detention under NSA and the district collector had cleared the file for his arrest.
Cardozo was allegedly involved in various criminal activities including murder, attempt to murder, gangwars and extortion.
