Expressing concern over the tardy progress of work in the National Highway between Bhubaneswar and Puri, the Orissa High court today rejected a status report submitted by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and asked it to submit a fresh one within 10 days.
A division bench of Acting Chief Justice Pradeep K Mohanty and Justice Biswajit Mohanty instructed the project director of the NHAI to submit the complete status report along with photographs of the completed road within 10 days.
The order came in response to a PIL praying for early completion of the 59-km-long four-lane road in view of the Nabakalebar festival of Lord Jagannath in July.
