HC seeks details of money spent by Justice Sen Commission

The Calcutta High Court today sought details of the money spent by Justice Shyamal Sen Commission which probed the multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam.
Hearing a PIL, a division bench of Chief Justice Manjula Chellur and Justice Joymalya Bagchi asked the government to submit in four weeks the details of the money spent by the commission.
The state government had formed the commission and set up a corpus of Rs 500 crore to pay back the investors in April 2013. Its term ended in October, last year.
