State capital Jaipur and Kota were the hottest places as the maximum temperature was recorded at 40.2 degree Celsius each following ongoing western disturbance causing dust storm and light showers in parts of north-west Rajasthan, a MeT official said.
Mercury further plummeted by one to three degree at most places due to western disturbance which caused dust storm and thundershowers in the state, the official said.
The maximum temperature was below 40 degree in most places including Ajmer, Pilani, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Barmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Churu and Ganganagar.
Dust storm or thunder shower with rain may occur in next 24 hours at isolated places in the state.
Meanwhile, the official said, no monsoon conditions prevailed over the state, and SW current of monsoon may hit the state by end of this month.
