Heat waves prevail at isolated places in UP

Heat wave conditions continued at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh today with Banda area recording the maximum temperature of 46.4 degrees Celsius.
According to the Met department, temperature rose appreciably in Meerut division, fell in Faizabad division and changed little in the remaining divisions over the state.
It was appreciably above normal in Allahabad, Lucknow, Bareilly, Jhansi and Agra division, above normal in Varanasi, Kanpur, Moradabad and Meerut divisions and normal in the remaining divisions over the state.
Highest maximum temperature of 46.4 degrees Celsius was recorded at Banda, they added.
