The funeral procession was carried out from his house in Shreejee Nagar in Durgapura to the crematorium at B2 bypass where Varyani's body was cremated with full state honours.
Varyani along with two other officers, Major Abhijeet Thapa and Captain Avinash, was killed in the helicopter crash at an airbase in Bareilly yesterday.
The Cheetah helicopter took off for a routine sortie and crashed after developing a technical snag.
