Domestic telecom gear maker HFCL today said it has received order worth Rs 583 crore from state-owned Bharat Broadband Network Nigam Limited.
The company has received Advance Purchase Orders worth Rs 305 crore and Rs 278 crore approximately aggregating to Rs 583 crore from Bharat Broadband Network Nigam Limited, the company said in a BSE filing.
The order is for survey, planning, supply, installation, end-to-end Integration, testing and commissioning of optical fibre cable (OFC) GPON network and Radio Network, Operation and Maintenance for a period of eight years.
The company will also have to facilitate services provisioning of the created network in the state of Punjab under government's rural high speed broadband project BharatNet.
"Under this Turnkey Project, around 3224 Gram Panchayats in 36 Blocks will get Broadband connectivity," HFCL said.
Under BharatNet project government is rolling our infrastructure to provide high speed broadband services across all 2.5 lakh village panchayats in the country.
