Activists of Hindu outfits today staged a demonstration at local Civil hospital here to protest against alleged misbehaviour of a doctor.
Protesters alleged that a duty doctor Naresh Kundra had misbehaved with an activist of Hindu Sangh Hari Ram alias Lovely.
They said that Amritpal, Lovely's elder brother, had come to local Civil hospital in connection with an Medico Legal Report after a dispute with his wife Poonam but he found concerned doctor was not around.
When Lovely inquired about it from Kundra, the doctor allegedly misbehaved with him.
After which Lovely called other activists of the outfits and staged a demonstration and sat on Dharna against the doctor.
The protesters were led by Deepak Bhardwaj, President of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Suraksha Samiti, Inderji Karwal, Senior Vice-President of Punjab Shiv Sena and Rajesh Palta, President of Shiv Sena Punjab.
Some of the doctors also raised counter slogans, expressing solidarity with the accused doctor and showing unity of the fraternity.
However, Kundra denied any misbehavior.
A police team led by City SHO Inspector Aman Kumar also reached the spot.
The issue was resolved after over an hour when Kundra came upto protesters to express "remorse" over the incident.
He told protesters that he nurtured no "ill-will" towards anyone as he was a public servant.
Senior Medical Officer (In-charge) Manohar Lal said that matter was resolved after the misunderstanding got cleared.
