Hindustan Zinc shares up over 4% after Q4 results

Shares of Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL) today rose by over 4 per cent after it posted 42.3 per cent jump in net profit for the March quarter.
The stock moved up by 4.29 per cent to settle at Rs 282.90 on BSE. During the day, it jumped 5.4 per cent to Rs 285.90.
On NSE, the stock gained 4.16 per cent to close at Rs 282.35.
In terms of volume, 4.53 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 42 lakh shares changed hands on NSE during the day.
HZL today posted 42.3 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 3,056.96 crore for the fourth quarter of the last fiscal, 2016-17, on higher production and sale of the mined metal.
It had posted a net profit of Rs 2,147.22 crore in the year-ago quarter, HZL said in a filing to BSE.
Its total income during the quarter was Rs 7,237.28 crore, a rise of 72.4 per cent over the year-ago period.
