Hitler's address book listing him as writer to go on auction

Adolf Hitler's personal address book, signed by the Nazi dictator himself, in which he lists his occupation as a writer is expected to fetch 5,000 pounds at an auction.
In a 1932 directory of addresses of people living in Munich, Hitler described himself as 'schriftsteller' - author, writer or wordsmith - based on the publication of his book Mein Kampf (My Struggle).
His personal copy of the address book, complete with his bill for buying it, is going on sale for an estimated 5,000 pounds through Mullock's auction house in Ludlow, Shropshire, on August 21.
Hitler does not appear in the book until page 413.

The directory comes with his original receipt, dated December 19, 1931, before the book's publication. The Nazi leader then signed and dated his copy when it arrived, the 'Daily Express' reported.
Also loosely inserted is a printed circular letter, addressed in typescript to Hitler, offering various different versions of the book.
He gives his private address, 162 Prinzregentenplatz, not the Munich Nazi HQ. The directory ended up in the personal collection of Hitler's housekeeper then passed down to a German collector.
"This is unique. In it are several letters from the publishers and it also contains Hitler's signature. It lists Hitler as a writer because Mein Kampf was a bestseller and gave its author a decent income," Richard Westwood-Brookes, documents expert at Mullock's said.
