Holachef appoints ex-Tata Starbucks exec to head supply chain

Holachef, online food curation and delivery service provider, today announced the appointment of former Tata Starbucks executive Rohit Sharma as the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO).
Sharma has an over 21 years of experience in the hospitality sector and will be joining Holachef after a successful previous stint at Tata Starbucks as Director of Supply Chain, the company said in a statement.
His other stints include assignments with Nirulas Corner House Pvt Ltd, Devyani International Ltd, Domino's Pizza and Taj Mahal Hotel.
The appointment is expected to fuel Holachef's focus towards profitable and sustainable growth, it added.
As the new CSCO, he would be responsible for the entire food preparation infrastructure, supply chain automation, sourcing, quality control, food process management and expansion of food categories at Holachef, it added.
His charter also involves enhancing revenue growth and cost savings through process improvements, savings initiatives, leveraging unutilised capacities, and developing transportation networks among others.
Holachef bagged an undisclosed amount of funding from Tata Trusts Chairman Ratan Tata in August 2015 and raised a Series A funding of Rs 20 crore in a round led by Kalaari Capital in June 2015.
