As per a Met bulletin, Gaya and Bhagalpur recorded the highest maximum temperature at 37.2 degrees Celsius while Patna's maximum temperature stood at 36.4 degrees Celsius. Purnea's maximum temperature was 36.3 degrees Celsius.
Patna and Gaya recorded two degrees above normal maximum temperature while Bhagalpur and Purnea recorded three degrees above normal.
Except Patna which recorded 13.4 mm of rainfall yesterday evening, the absence of rain coupled with major cities recording above their normal temperature made people's life difficult in the state.
In its forecast, the Met said that it would be a partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder in major cities tomorrow.
