HP assembly adjourned sine die

Himachal Pradesh Assembly was today adjourned sine die after a six-day stormy winter session with BJP members disrupting the proceedings on the last day also.
As soon as the House met for the day, Mohinder Singh (BJP) raised the issue of notice of adjournment motion given by party members on reported allegation of Congress MLA, Ram Kumar Chowdhary, currently in jail in a murder case, who had alleged that he had been implicated by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.
Speaker Brij Bihari Lal Butail, however, rejected the motion as the matter was subjudice. The speaker said that he had received the notice from BJP members but he can not allow the adjournment motion as the matter was in the court.
BJP member Ravinder Singh Ravi said the news reports said that Ram Kumar had alleged in the court that Virbhadra Singh had got him implicated.
Ravi said it was an important issue, which needed to be discussed in the House.
Rajiv Bindal (BJP) said the opposition should be afforded opportunity to raise various. Following which, BJP members raised slogans and trooped into the well of the House.
In the midst of the ruckus, the chief minister apprised the House about the "Best State" award received by the Himachal Pradesh government for health and investment sectors in Delhi yesterday.
Amid din, the speaker adjourned the House sine die.
