These cement plants are Keran Limestone deposits of Harish Cements Ltd and Alsindi plant of Lafarge India in Karsog, Gumma-Rohana plant of India Cement in Shimla district, Cement Plant (Unit-II) of Jai Prakash Associates based on already leased out Baga Bhalag Limestone deposits in Arki in Solan district and Baroh-Shind plant also of Jai Prakash Associates in Tehsil Churah of Chamba district.
The cabinet, which met here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, approved the Skill Development Allowance (SDA) scheme for eligible educated unemployed youths.
Eligible candidates will be given an allowance of Rs 1,000 per month whereas candidates with 50 per cent or more disability will get allowance of Rs 1,500 per month, under the scheme.
