Husband gets 10 years RI

A local court today awarded 10 year rigarous imprisonment to a 35-year-old person for abetting his wife to commit suicide.
The prosecution case was that Kumar used to quarrel with his wife. On June 17, 2016 his wife threatened him that she would commit suicide.
As Kumar ignored her statement, his wife using her sari committed suicide by hanging.
Though Kumar was present at the time of her suicide, he did not prevent her, the prosecution submitted.
District Mahila Court Judge Thirunavukkarasu awarded 10 years RI to Kumar for abetting the suicide.
