Hussain Sagar lake clean-up project to be taken up in big way

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to take up the cleaning of Hussain Sagar Lake in the heart of the city in a big way.
Rao, who reviewed the cleaning project today, said it should be taken up as people's movement with the participation of ministers, other public representatives, students and all sections of the society, an official release said.
Water from the drainage system should not be allowed to enter the picturesque lake which is also a tourist attraction, he said.
A separate lake would be developed at nearby Indira Park for immersion of idols during the Ganesh Chathurthi and Dasara festivities.
