"Prohibitory orders will be in force with effect from 6.00 AM on August 23 to 6.00 AM on August 29, to maintain public order, peace and tranquility in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad," Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma said.
Carrying swords, spears, knives, sticks with or without flags, bludgeons, guns, explosives and other offensive weapons have been banned, besides collection, carrying of stones or other means of casting missiles.
Any person violating the prohibitory orders shall be liable for prosecution under the provisions of the Hyderabad City Police Act, the release said.
