Actress Mahira Khan, who will be soon seen on Indian television with her hit Pakistani drama 'Humsafar', has denied that she will make her Bollywood debut opposite actor Ranveer Singh.
The 30-year-old actress said she has been offered Bollywood films but she has not signed anything so far.
"This is not true, I am not doing any Bollywood film. I don't know from where such rumours have surfaced. In fact, a lot of things keep getting written and shared online and I am upset about it. Offers come but there hasn't been an exciting role yet," Mahira told PTI from Karachi.
The actress says she would like to follow on the footsteps of her 'Humsafar' co-star and close friend Fawad Khan and work in India.
"Actors love to do good work irrespective of country and borders. I would definitely like to work in India. It is just that I am quite picky when it comes to roles."
Mahira, while lauding Fawad's debut in Bollywood with 'Khoobsurat', says she is proud of him and is ecstatic that he has earned a fan following for himself in India.
"I am so happy for him. I have seen all his promos and they bring a smile on my face, every time I watch them. Fawad has handled things so well in India. He was not used to too many interviews here in Pakistan but now he gives so many in a day and he does it excellently.
"He is honest to who he is. He has not changed himself for his work in a new territory and that is why he is loved so much in India," Mahira said.
