Mannu and Keshav were arrested and nearly 300 litre of hooch was seized from the spot. Also 20 quintal of raw material used for preparing hooch was destroyed, they said.
In another incident, two alleged cattle smugglers were arrested during vehicle checking on National Highway 2 under Rohaniya police station area yesterday.
Acting on a tip-off, police stopped a truck and seized 15 cattle which were being smuggled to West Bengal from Fathepur, Station Officer Ajay Kumar Singh said.
Two persons have been arrested in this connection and the truck was also seized, the police officer said.
