Pratik Baldev Raj was killed on the spot Tuesday night when he was thrown out of the vehicle travelling at high speed, the Gulf Daily News reported Thursday.
A student of Ernst & Young Training Institute, Pratik was an employee of Al Jazira Cold Store Company.
Five of the six injured are Indian students and had come to Bahrain on vacation. They were identified as Vijay Loyston, Raunak Digambar, Govind Srinivas, Rahul Mahajan and Shaurya Banerjee. They received cuts and bruises but escaped any serious injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a Bahraini named Mahammed Abdulmalik, is in critical condition with shards of glass in his skull. Police sources said the driver may have been speeding but said investigations were ongoing, the report said.
