Injured BJP worker dies

A BJP worker, who had suffered injuries during a clash with the ruling CPI(M) activists in Dhalai district, has succumbed to his injuries at a government hospital here, police said today.
Nishikanta Chakma was one of the three persons injured in a clash at Chailengta in Dhalai district on July 20 in which one CPI(M) worker was killed.
He had been shifted G.B Hospital here from a hospital in Dhalai district.
Chakma died there yesterday and his body was released today.
State BJP president Biplab Deb said hat it was a cowardly attack by CPI(M) for which Chakma was killed.
