About 1,000 swimmers from 100 universities from all over the country will compete in the meet, organised for the second successive year by the Calcutta University.
"All top level national and international swimmers will take part in the meet. The details of the participation will be announced later. Last year our women's team stood third in the championship," Kunal Chatterjee, in-charge of department of sports, told reporters here today.
CU also announced the Inter-Collegiate Football Tournament for which the the trials will begin at the Calcutta University Ground here tomorrow.
